He took a special interest in the field of Oral Surgery and Restorative dentistry. He presently has a special interest in Implants and providing Flexible Valplast Denture and Crown and Bridge work.

Uma qualified in 1975. After following hospital career, she settled in general practice in 1981. In 2004, she completed a MSc in Hypnosis Applied to Dentistry from the renowned UCL. Her special interest is in helping very nervous and anxious patients.
